Open for Staycations in Devon from 4th July

We have been hunkering down here at Wonham Oak and we are now taking holiday cottage bookings from the 4th July if government guidelines allow us to open up from that date – current advice is that we can.

With this in mind we are making sure we are ready to welcome back guests during the Covid-19 pandemic. As usual our self-catering cottages will be given a full clean between guests to ensure that cleanliness and hygiene standards are consistently met. We are following the NHS guidelines on how to prevent the spread of germs: www.nhs.uk/live-well/healthy-body/how-to-prevent-germs-from-spreading/ We will continue to follow instructions by The Department for Health & Social Care.

The dog-friendly cottages have recently had a lick of paint and now have sofa beds in the sitting rooms enabling up to four guests to stay in each cottage. As always we will provide guests with a welcome pack on arrival and if you have any concerns about going into local shops we can help arrange groceries from the following businesses to be in your cottage on arrival:

Bampton Fresh – Fruit, Veg, Milk, Cheese, Dry Goods

Bampton Game – Meat, Pies, Scotch Eggs, Cheese

Bawdens the Bakers – Bread, Pastries, Sandwiches

Costcutter Bampton – Most groceries available

Supermarket deliveries available in our area include Morrisons, Sainsbury’s, Tesco, ASDA and Waitrose. In addition, some of our lovely local pubs are doing takeaway/delivery menus so you can still enjoy being cooked for on your holiday! These include The Swan and The Red Lion

Please let us know if you have any queries about dates and pricing and we will of course do our best to fit you in. We look forward to welcoming guests back to Wonham Oak and the beautiful Bampton and Exmoor area.

James and Erica
