WHAT OTHER PEOPLE SAY...
Peaceful and secluded, yet providing easy access to Exmoor and the North Devon coast. Perfect setting for our dogs with a secure garden and plenty of walks nearby. Well equipped cottage with comfortable bed. Hopefully will return next year.

Beautiful cottage in a stunning location in Devon. Modern interior and extremely comfortable accommodation with everything we needed to enjoy a lovely long weekend. Erica and James made us feel very welcome and it made such a difference that they were able to provide a travel cot and stair gate. We loved walking through the onsite woodland and visiting local sights such as the Tarr steps. A thoroughly enjoyable stay - we'll be back!

My boyfriend and I just spent a lovely sunny weekend at Wonham Oak. The great location of the cottage gave us lots of options for places to explore in the Exmoor National Park as well as beautiful views from the bedroom to wake up to each morning. The cottage itself was very clean and had a well-stocked kitchen. It was such a treat having the wood burning fire in the evenings. It was also lovely and quiet which was just what we needed!
Will definitely be recommending!

Just spent 4 lovely nights in the Lime Kiln Cottage. Wonderful location, and a fabulous cottage. Arrived with wood already supplied, as well as bread from the local Bampton bakery, milk, eggs, butter and delicious homemade plum jam. Bed was oh so comfy, the cottage was cosy and warm. Would recommend this to couples looking for a quiet getaway. The cottage is also set in 10 acres of woodland and open farmland, great for exercising the hound if not thinking about venturing further afield. Of course, Exmoor is almost on the doorstep, fab for walks and country pubs. Overall, a wonderful stay, will definitely be coming back!

Highly recommend! Our aim when booking was to find somewhere we could switch off from our busy lives and I’m pleased to say we had a totally relaxing stay with no issues whatsoever. The cottage was so quiet we felt like we were in the middle of nowhere but it is very well placed to get out and about to explore - great for both the North and South coasts. We appreciated the privacy that we were given but it was lovely of James to come over to say hello and check everything was ok. Another very thoughtful touch from James and Erica was the provision of fresh milk, bread, butter and eggs plus the offer of fresh veggies during our stay. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

Beautiful location off the beaten track but close enough to surrounding villages and towns to get to shops and pubs/restaurants easily enough. The cottage is well appointed and has everything we need. Lovely walks through the woods and fields around the cottage including an impressive old overgrown limestone quarry which could easily be something out of Jurassic Park with it's fern and moss covered rock faces. The owners are lovely people, very friendly and helpful but not intrusive at all. One of the local restaurants, The Swan, is a must. Very reasonably priced and truly excellent food. If you want a relaxing time away from it all or a base to go out and explore the surrounding locations of interest this is a great choice. I can wholeheartedly recommend.
